Music at Brighton Secondary College, headed by Nick Carver, is going from strength to strength, with record numbers of students participating in our Instrumental Music Program. The College has a number of ensembles, bands, and an orchestra which perform regularly.

Major events on the school’s music calendar include the annual Big Night In where all our bands and soloists are on show; the House Choral Festival, and our whole school theatrical production which always features singers and a live band.

In recent years, the College’s Latin Band has been invited to perform at the Melbourne Youth Music Bands Festival at BMW Edge, Federation Square, alongside the Melbourne Youth Music Jazz Orchestra.

Other performing opportunities include lunchtime concerts in the school’s amphitheatre, Presentation Night and arts festivals and eisteddfods.

The College also produces each year a CD of music, written and performed by our talented music students.
