House Chorals 2009
Now its 48th year, the House Choral Festival is a highlight of the College calendar. The 2009 House Choral Festival, held on March 19, was a wonderful evening featuring the amazing talents of our students.
Four house choirs competed for the coveted Michele Batour Chorals Award, and each house featured a soloist. There were also performances by the Japan Tour 2009 choir and the Staff choir.
The winning house was Phillip, conducted by Madeleine Buchner. Best conductor was awarded to Sapir Tossia, of Lonsdale. Elliott Smith, who sang My Friends from the musical Sweeney Todd, was the winner of the Best Solo performance. Ashlee Collins, who performed The Wizard and I from the musical Wicked, received the Encouragement Prize.
